First Lady Melvina Dilosa
It was the summer of 1972 as I sat on my front porch with the sun shining bright upon my face, I felt its warmth on the outside. But feeling empty on the inside I wanted more out of life yet not knowing where to go to find this fulfillment. I had come to a point in my life and realized that I had not made good decisions throughout my life which brought much sorrow. I was honest to admit to myself, “It’s gotta to get better than this”. I was at a place that I no longer was pleased with the pleasures of life and I felt that there was more for me in life, but I had no clue where to begin to look. My heart was in pain and I had no answers for its cure nor did I know where to look for the answer. I praise God for the Holy Spirit that troubled my spirit and brought me to a place of feeling incomplete. I realized I did not have a hope and I wanted to experience real love in my lifetime. I was seeking and wanting more out of life yet unsure of what it was that I needed or where to go to find it. Today I can say that it was God calling me to separate myself from the world and to serve him for the rest of my life. I totally surrendered my heart and mind to Christ and he has given me a new mind, transformed into the image of Christ and what I longed for I have found in Him, true and everlasting love and a hope that will never end now I can boldly say, “ Whom the Son sets free is free indeed”.

Melvina Dilosa is the wife of Rockne Dilosa, pastor of Bibleway Church of God’s Word. She is the leader of the women’s ministry; Sharing Hearts bible study, she is the developer and designer of various youth empowerment ministries. She is the founder and director of Bibleway Community Development Corporation and Building a Life Programs, “BAL”. Her compassion for the young men dying through violence moved her to seek God for a plan to bring hope to her community. He granted her request and through the leading of the Holy Spirit she designed and developed a character development/ empowerment program , focus on mind transformation for behavioral change. Developed Building a Life Program has been implemented in schools, homeless shelters, and correctional institutions in NW Indiana and transition homes for ex-offenders to bring hope.
God had two purposes in mind when He created us: relation and vocation. (1) Relation with Him (2) To carry out His purpose on earth. At 23 yrs old I questioned my purpose on earth I just believed there was more to life than just going through changes and then death. Now I am living with purpose -Philippians 2:13
