One night I was lying in my bed trying to sleep, but the Holy Spirit was ministering to me about observing the word of God and doing it. James 1:22 tells us to be doers not just hearers of the word of God. Expect for His word to be carried out, fulfilled in our lives as born again believers.
The word observe means to keep, to see and note, to follow in practice. Every time we don't obey God's word we have delay. The children of Israel were held up 40 years because they didn't trust in the word of God. Hebrews 4:1-2. states that they didn't mix the word of God with faith. Understand something, God wants obedient servants, faithful people who trust in His every word. He wants those who will acknowledge Him and not lean to their own understanding. If you believe Him and love Him, why wouldn't you want His guidance? His word should be the Lord (Master) over every circumstance of our lives. We should long for its abiding presence. Jesus said in John 15:7 "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will,..." Remember, whatsoever we ask should be according to His word which is His will. I Peter 4:1-2 states that we should live this newe life accourding to the will of God. Where is His will found? It is found in His word that endureth forever.
